I’ve decided to see the next 6 weeks as a chance to shed some pounds whilst still being healthy.
I’m not going to starve myself, just going to reduce my (quick releasing) carbohydrate intake. You need to focus on protein and good fats to fill you up and give you a slow release of energy. Coupled with eating lots of Veggies to promote health and protect you from disease. Also lets not forget, MOVE YOUR BODY!
Today I made a yummy salad incorporating all the above:
- Greens (large palm full of each)
- pak Choi
- squeeze of lime for dressing
- Good Fats and Protein
- 1/2 avocado
- 1 mackerel
- 1 boiled egg
- tbs sesame oil for dressing
- large tbsp cottage cheese
- large tbsp hummus
This meal will fill you up, give you lots of vitamins/minerals and help reduce insulin response, due to the lack of quick releasing carbohydrates. Great weight loss meal without feeling hungry.
