Banana and Nut Smoothie

I love juices and smoothies.  I have about 2 a day.  I mainly try green juices to make them count but all fruit and veg is good for you.

Here’s a favourite of mine:

  • 1 banana (ripe)
  • 1 palm full of mixed nuts
  • 2 tbls of natural yoghurt
  • Coconut milk to desired consistency
  • Little honey (as sweet as you desire)
  • blend and drink

This drink is very filling so could be a good breakfast or snack.  Maybe to beat that sugar craving.  Better than chocolate or crisps!  A healthier alternative.  Enjoy!


Do you have trouble sleeping?  Try my turmeric milk just before bed

There are times when I finish work late and feel quite wired from the day.  If you want to feel relaxed, rather than drink wine, which is full of sugar and stimulating, try this soothing drink.

     Turmeric Milk

  • 1 tsp of turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp of cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp of honey
  • mug of milk or coconut milk
  • slowly heat over the hob till warm
  • Very soothing and delicious
  • Night night!
