Adding fruit to Salads is a great way to replace bought salad dressings as they are packed full of salt, sugar and nasty chemicals.
I add apple, orange, pear, berries and mango often to my salads to add a little natural sweetness.
As winter is approaching we still need to eat lots of raw. Try having a salad with everything you eat. If you’re having a nice warm soup or stew, always have a big bowl of salad. You can add warm roasted or poached veg or fruit to your salads if you prefer, as long as you get the raw in!
Romaine lettuce, Chinese leaves, tomatoes, potato and apple with a little olive oil, lemon, salt and pepper – nice, simple and tasty!
