All Veggie Smoothie

Hey all

 

Yesterday we were aware we had used a fair bit of fruit in our smoothie, so today we made a conscious decision to make it all vegetables……totally getting away from the sweet tastes to the clean fresh flavours.

Palmful of Spinach

1/2  Red Pepper

Palmful Red Tomatoes

1/2  Avocado

Palmful of Mixed Nuts

Juice from 1/2  Lime

 

This was quite different from a lot of our previous creations, but it still tasted good! When drinking this, you are aware that every single part of it is going to make your body happy, each being a positive ingredient entering your system. How can you not feel great!

Peppers contain an impressive number of plant nutrients, known for their health promoting and disease preventing qualities.  The red peppers have 3 times as much Vitamin C as the green ones and 11 times more beta carotene.

Did you know……The colour and flavour of peppers is determined by their ripeness. As a pepper gets older, it tastes milder and sweeter. A red pepper is really just a mature green one!
