Colonic Irrigation

What to expect & the process of a colonic irrigation

What to Expect

  • It's always daunting the first time booking a colonic.  I assure you your privacy is paramount. It's important to me that you feel comfortable and relaxed.
  • Once you've booked your appointment, an informative confirmation email is sent with lots of information.  Please check for any contraindications and highlight any major health issues with me to ensure it's safe to proceed.
  • A health form is completed by yourself 48 hours before your appointment, this form is sent via a link in the appointment reminder email.
  • Your form is to be returned before your appointment, then I have time to check for health and safety reasons. Help is always available if needed.
  • Ideally hydrate well before your session, and please no fizzy drinks or caffeine 24 hours prior.  Eating lightly or fasting is preferred.
  • On your arrival we go through your form and discuss your symptoms and needs.  The whole process is explained before the treatment starts.
  • Quick toilet stop, and then the session begins.  Please wear comfy clothes.
  • 35 minutes for single colonic and 1 hour 15 for double sessions.
  • To start, a small well lubricated speculum is inserted into your rectum, it isn't painful.
  • The session involves tepid filtered water, flushing gently through your large intestine only.
  • This slowly softens waste and removes gases.
  • The body is slowly hydrated.
  • The waste and gas leaves the colon throughout the session.
  • After the session you sit on the loo to empty any remaining water and waste, then you're done.
  • You will receive an aftercare email and some supplement suggestions.  Lots of fantastic tips on health and digestion.
  • Throughout the session clients can feel sensations of needing the loo, some bloating, and feelings of gas whilst the waste matter leaves the body.
  • I'm there to support you all the way.
  • It should never be painful but you can feel uncomfortable at times, depending on the state of your digestion.
  • You'll receive an abdominal massage, and we will discuss your diet and lifestyle in the session.
  • Afterwards it's best to hydrate well and ideally fast or eat lightly, like soups and broths.  Avoid alcohol and spicy foods.
  • Rest well that day and have a good sleep.  Going back to work is fine but tiredness and detox symptoms like headaches could be experienced.  Most people feel good however.
  • A course of 3 colonics is recommended for best results.  However, no pressure, you can just have one if you like.
  • My sole purpose is to help improve your digestive issues with colonics, diet and lifestyle changes.  However, I need YOU to work with me and be ready to make positive changes.
  • A free chat is always available before booking.  Just send me a message.  Thank you and I'm looking forward to meeting you.
