When making meals always make sure you have plenty of veg. Some warm and raw so you get a good balance of nutrients. When cooking food you lose lots of its nutritional value so best to always add some raw to your plate. More raw the better. I try have 2 green juices a day and a large salad with each meal. Get the goodness in.
