Hey all

Today we tried a new combination of delicious and nutritious vegetables, fruits and seeds and came up with a lovely creamy smoothie, that is just bursting with goodness……


Mango, Avocado and Watercress Smoothie Mango, Avocado and Watercress Smoothie

1 ripe Mango

1/2 Avocado

Palmful of Watercress

Palmful of Curly Kale

3 Beetroot Leaves

1 Banana

Palmful of Strawberries

Palmful of Sunflower Seeds

600ml ( approx) of Coconut milk

Water to dilute


Blend and enjoy……


Today we added, as promised, the leaves from our fresh beetroot. These we discovered, were of excellent nutritional value and it is so easy to just add them to the smoothie, boost your nutrition, rather than thoughtlessly discard and lose out!

Tip – If the leaves are starting to wilt, to restore to freshness, store in the fridge in a little water

Watercress has recently come out on top as the best Superfood! This means it was found to have the highest nutritional value, per gram, for fibre, calcium, potassium and vitamins A, C and E. 

Tasting slightly peppery, it’s a great and easy addition to salads, soups or smoothies and you know that you’re giving your body an almost gourmet ingredient!

Mangoes also fall into the “super” catergory, as fruits. These are nutritionally rich in pre-biotic dietary fibre, which is great to keep your insides in tip top condition!

Adding the avocado today helped create that lovely creamy texture aswell as giving us a great source of fatty acids, essential for our health.

Danni and I are loving trying out and experimenting with all these smoothies and best of all, are enjoying feeling good!
