Mackerel with Curried Rice and Chickpeas

I know this is a slightly wintery dish but as August is proving to be slightly cold and dull at times I thought it was a good one to have.  Enjoy!

  • Chickpeas, brown rice, carrots, onion, sprouts, green peppers, spinach all cooked slowly in Cumin, fresh ginger, garam masala, curry powder, turmeric, paprika and filtered water to your desired consistency.  Add as much spice as you like, as everyone is different.  I always start with a tsp of each and add more if needed.
  • Mackerel on a bed of cabbage and spinach all steamed.
  • Natural yoghurt if desired 🙂
