I’ve avoided salt for the past 12 years like the plague.  I was told by my doctors that its bad for people with kidney issues.  Yes highly refined table salt is, but good honest unrefined sea salt is fabulous for you; being full of minerals and helps the body stay hydrated, which can be the biggest cause of any disease.

This interesting article from MBGfood, is a great reminder of why salt needs to come back into our diets, in a healthy and balanced way.

I make SOLE and drink a glass every morning on an empty stomach,  This is a salt water concentration, and is amazing for your body.  Give it a go!  Lets get those minerals back in, as our soils are so depleted nowadays.

  5. Shortly after your session a comprehensive email is sent, detailing all the correct foods and drinks to eat; this will ensure we improve or even stop your symptoms.

Oat, Banana, Peanut butter and Cocoa nib Biscuits

  • mash up 3 ripe bananas
  • add Oats 2-3 small cups
  • add Choc chips 1-2 small cups
  • 2 tbsp Peanut butter
  • Mix together so all combined and slightly gooey and sticky, taste it to see if sweet enough
  • add honey to sweeten
  • take little balls and flatten into biscuit shape on parchment paper
  • Bake in the oven at 180°c until they are cooked to your liking!

Red Cabbage Salad

Red Cabbage makes an amazing salad.  Very crunchy and full of flavour.

Salad

  • Shred half a red cabbage
  • Cut in strips carrots and peppers
  • Add chopped coriander and red onion
  • finish off with some cherry tomatoes

Dressing

Sesame oil, lime, soy sauce, honey, salt, pepper and a little balsamic vinegar.  Add a little of each ingredient, until you get to the taste you like.

Lettuce leaves get boring! Try shredding red cabbage for your next healthy meal.
